Crawley - Sussex, any ideas?!

Hi, me and my partner are going to Balcombe (crawley) for a week in couple weeks time, and wondered if anyone knew of any cheap days out or things to do in Sussex?

Any ideas greatly recieved! :)

    Day trip to brighton/tilgate park/visit wakehurst place/south downs walks - to name just a few

    yeah, tilgate park is nice, they have a nature place where u walk round and they have lots of animals. and a pub and brewers fayre restaurant.
    Definately go to brighton it's great!

    Yep their first gig was in a pub called The Rocket but I believe it's changed it's name now. It's by the train station. Their next gig was in the band stand in the town centre. Robert Smith was educated at a school in Crawley, I think it was called the St Wilfrid's Comprehensive School. Every year on Robert Smith's birthday (21st April) a group of about 300 Cure fans have a convention in Crawley.

    Wow! i honestly never heard that, i know st wilfreds school and the bandstand! and the pub is the railway pub now!
