Sri Lanka Wedding - help with dress!

Options
Hi, I have been studying some of the posts on here for days, and found some great advice!

I have decided to get married in Sri Lanka next year (March), the two of us and both sets of parents. We have spent ages deciding on destination, but in the meantime I have been looking at millions of dresses.

Finally decided on Maggie Sottero Destinations SD5211. I was watching this on ebay (in the hope of getting a bargain), and had also looked on Landy without success! I found a seller in UK who did the dress (vogue_bridal_wear_ltd), but suddenly, they don't seem to be selling ANY dresses. I was a bit wary about ordering it from abroad, but did see it with love_china2009, however, they now have no dresses for sale either:(

I really want this dress, but not sure where to go from here - any ideas would be greatly appreciated:)

You could try contacting the wedding dress shops listed on the Authorised Retailers list on the Maggie Sottero website to see if they have it and how much it costs from them.
It's not likely to be cheap but it'd give you a starting point.

Thanks that would help to start me off!! I have found another two sellers on ebay selling the dress, and I wonder if they are dodgy companies who list as one seller then open a new account as another?

I have completely fallen in love with the dress though, so I will try to call tomorrow to see if I can get a price and go from there.

    Thanks for your help!

hello, congrats on getting married in Sri lanka, its beautiful, my htb is from there so ive been a few times..and to a wedding as well.
Few words of advice :It is always SO hot.and sticky.on all pictures I have everyones permanently shiny.so if you can choose a lighter dress as surely at least for your pics you might be outside.
Do you want some traditional touches from Sri Lanka ?Where are you getting married ? Try to have a trial for make up or do it yourself, the guys over there do tend to go a bit heavy.
Hope I can give you some more tips :j

Thanks for the response schrojen. Not been on here for little while due to losing a relative.

We're getting married at Club Dolphin, in March 2011.

I do want some traditional touches - any ideas? Would love to hear any tips you have!!

Will def be doing make up myself - hate anyone fiddling with me!! I was a bridesmaid recently, so had lots of practice re: shiny face !!
