Cleaning out my cupboards

Hi guys,

On a mission to save money, I cleaned out my cupboards. Lots of the stuff in there is still in date, but was only bought to use once for a recipe.

I'm just after a few ideas. Aside from all the usual/useful cupboard ingredients I found:

1)Vegetable suet
2)Half a bag of tagliatelle
3)Full bottle of Tabasco sauce
4)Two packets of Colman's cheddar cheese sauce.

Haven't even started on the freezer yet.

I've got some mince so I was going to do mince and dumplings, but thought it might be a bit hot for that. Also, does it matter that it's vegetable suet? And ordinary beef mince?

Thrifty Smilerwoman could get used to this! :p

Veggie suet - dumplings (doesn't matter that it's veggie), suet crust for a pie, steamed pudding.

1)Vegetable suet - like HowlinWolf said. If you think it's too hot for suety things at the moment it'll keep until it's cooler and you can remember to use it up then. IMO ordinary beef mince is the best thing for mince and dumplings!
2)Half a bag of tagliatelle - use as any pasta, just cook and stick a bit of sauce over. Nice with carbonara for instance.
3)Full bottle of Tabasco sauce - add a few drops to sauces if you like spicy food, especially tomatoey sauces, but if you've never used this before watch it because it is powerful! Also useful in the making of Bloody Marys :D
4)Two packets of Colman's cheddar cheese sauce - make up cheese sauce and mix into cauliflower or other such veg as part of a meal. Or you could even mix it with the tagliatelle, and maybe add a bit of ham or bacon.
