Boots points

Hi All,

I'm a hoarder with my Boots points, and am currently up to £60 on there.
I normally use them for big purchases - sunglasses, perfumes or extravagent make up. But I really don't need any of these at the minute and could use the £60 cash!

Anyone have any ideas as to how I can turn my points into cash? Is it worth buying something and selling it on ebay, or just using it for the odd toiletries? To be honest, I barely even shop in Boots anymore as I've moved to a town and have to travel into the city for Boots (which I try to avoid at all costs to save money).

Any ideas most welcome,

thanks x

Can you top up your mobile to save you buying airtime credit?

    Hi,
Nice thought, but I'm on contract so wouldn't be of any use to me unfortunately. Plus, not sure they let you spend your points on things like that.

    Thanks though.

  • How about keeping them for Christmas Gifts or purchasing gifts for birthdays etc.

Use them for toiletries that are on sale or any gifts that you need to buy.

Hi, well done for making so much. Clinique creams and Benefit make-up bags do quite well on ebay. Also boots are getting much better with their online shopping, so you could bulk buy all your shower gels, toothpastes etc and save on your grocery shop or save them all for christmas, but have a look online. Hope this helps.

Have you a friend who also shops in Boots and will give you the cash for them? I rarely shop there as I can find most stuff I buy a lot cheaper elsewhere.
Find out who you are and do that on purpose (thanks to Owain Wyn Jones quoting Dolly Parton)

Are you allowed to buy vouchers with them? Cos they often sell for above face value on ebay.
Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.

I'd keep hold of them for Christmas, remember Boots also sell kids toys, digital cameras, hair straighteners etc things that you might want to gift. Or if you have a baby you could get your nappies with them?? Even something as dull as batteries!!!!

Thanks everyone. Lots of great ideas. Think i'll have a quick look on ebay, and if I decide against it, everyone will be getting nice Boots presents for Xmas.

    Thanks again :-)
