Excel 'Pick From List' Help

I know that I can right click in a cell in excel and choose 'pick from list' to select any of the options already entered above that cell. However the 'pick from list' pop up box only lists the first 8 and you have to scroll down the pop up list to get the rest.
Can I change a setting in excel to have more than 8 items shown in the pop up list.
thanks
Jim

The only options for this feature i know of are under
Data > Validation
select LIST from the Allow list and thats it.. unless there is a registry fix to change the initial showable lists.0 -
I think the maximum number of items is fixed at 8.
You might be able to achieve your requirement by customising the right-click menu and creating your own drop-down list using VBA.0 -
im with danmed,
with your spread sheet open and the required cell/column selected, on the tool bar choose, data>validation>setting tab>allow>list
i just tried it out using alphabet and managed all 26 letters.fatblokexl:EasterBun:0
