A study of patients with chronic low back pain has found no benefit
from taking 1500 mg/day of glucosamine. The study involved 250 adults with chronic low-back pain and degenerative osteoarthritis who were followed for one year. Half took glucosamine, and half received a placebo. The glucosamine group did no better than the placebo group.

I have been taking Glucosomine for years - and Chrondroitin.
My 'scientist' brother always pooh-poohed the idea that anything taken orally could have any beneficial effect on the joints/bones etc having passed through the digestive tract full of acid, and bacteria etc.

Last year brother was in excruciating agony, and spent a large fortune seeing private specialists who after numerous costly consultations and tests gave his diagnosis and recommendations....... my brother now takes Glucosomine !! at least 1000mg a day I believe he was told to take.

So as Funkyfarmgirl said, for those who use this product, this "offer" has been posted.
Those who don't believe it works presumably would not even bother reading this thread, as the title of the thread clearly says what it is about.

Thanks OP, will pop into Tesco. Seven Seas one always more expensive compare to Boots or shops own brand.My parent use them for years and they are very happy to continue. It won't make them run marathon but their joint is not as stiff as before,at least not deteriorating. I think you need to take 1500mg daily to start with and then like 1000mg to maintain.
