Never, ever, touch the Shelf Edge Labels (SEL's) or remove them!
Or any other Point Of Sale (POS) material for that matter.
Always go to CS and state "I will show you where the problem is" or similar.
If they say "no need" I wait about 10 seconds and then follow them.
That way if they are "up to no good" you arrive in time to see them looking at the label! You were of course, as you said, due a full refund!

Unfortunately I have on more than one occasion bought things and then gone for R&R and the SEL had gone - someone else had already done the R&R before me so they had removed the sel - Last time it was actually on the CS desk so they agreed to honour it - next time I will follow them as you advise

Dammit! I got 4 blocks last week, thought it was cheap, meant to get some more this week prob won't bother now. Still a good price tho.
