Who's going to be a Maggie Bride??

So,after knowing even before I got engaged that I wanted to wear a Maggie dress, I have finally ordered it! I tried on some dresses a couple of weeks ago and thought Vivien was my favourite, but after a disappointing experience in a bridal shop, I went to another and found Melissa, and she is the one!

Who else is going to be wearing Maggie?

it's adelaide for me... loved the older version michelle since i'd started looking online (mainly because of the bust mind you) but when i tried on the adelaide, which is an up to date version, i fell in love with it and it was the one for me.

I was very nearly a Maggie girl in the Vivien dress - don't like the web photo but I loooooved the way it looked on me!! So flattering! Ended up in White Rose instead...

I know what you mean about the Vivien photo, I think that a lot of that range look better in the flesh than in the pics because the pics are all of the silver dresses. And Vivien is soooo flattering!

Plans are going ok, we seem to be getting there slowly. Meeting our florist and cake maker this weekend, still trying to find the best deal for photographer. Still need to sort rings, clothes for the boys, invitations (am planning on making these myself), bridesmaid dresses... actually, we still have loads to do!

Sounds like your plans are happening 4nnabella, we have lots of ideas but not many solid plans!

Got the venue, the registrar, the honeymoon (Mexico!)
Ordered the dress & got shoes too
Got a friend who is taking the photos (he's done lots of our friends weddings and just charges for extra equipment hire)
Seen a florist about table centrepieces and a family friend has offered to do bouquets
We had photos taken in the lavender fields near us this weekend by a friend, hopefully one is good enough to make vistaprint style invitations

Next on the to-do list - DJ (got three to choose from), bridesmaid dress, invitations, rings...

Noticed you're on WW too- I have lost nearly two stone (start weight similar to your start) and now on a bit of a plateau, but hoping to lose an extra 7lbs or so before my dress fitting in October. Have got my fiance signed up for WW too - he is even less enthusiastic about it than me!! Good luck!

I'm a Maggie girl too! This is my dress, although I think it looks much nicer in real life!



It's a destinations dress and it's so light and floaty, I love it!
