fun fair, beach engagement shoot ideas need please?

hey

my photographer wants to do a engagement shoot to give us a idea of her style and to get to know us better and it happens that our shoot is on the same night as our regatta in our local town.

the fair comes to town and it is on some slopes that lead to the beach can any of you give me some ideas that are the norm for this as i dont want lots of attention on us but want to be able to enjoy ourselves and the photographer as she seems lovely! x

We're going to a little beck to get some pics done but as it's a public place then we don't want to get in anyones way either so we were thinking of a picnic under some of the trees so that we can get some good shots, that are a bit different then lots of trees and scenerey, would that be an option on the beach?

    Is this with kitty l'wren?

    hey

the whole area will be crazy with people but thats not a problem to me its just my oh who is a bit concious of it all, just thought it made sense as i go to it every year just to have a engagement shoot there too.

she said to do it about 6:30pm / 7pm for about a hour/ hour and a half and then grab something to eat then do a few more but she's leaving that to me! argghh!

no its not with kitty le wren, i found shell through a different website and am really happy with her she's a little gem! always emailing and replying fast, just got a good feeling about her :)

It's good that you have a good feeling about her.
What sort of things do you usually do? I'm guessing if it's a fair then there will be games and rides? What about a few action shots on the rides or you and OH playing like the shooting type games against each other?

Will you want the pics to tie in with your theme or your wedding? do you want them to be crazy blurry like you get with fair pics, or see something else from it?

Glad you have some things to think about, no idea what else to suggest, I'm still figuring out our shoot!

I'd like to recommend my mums local garden centre though, they have packs of 3 pull bows in polka dot for 99p, I wanted to get some just because they're so cute :rotfl:
  • Your photographer should have lots of ideas for nice, fun, creative shots. Use the opportunity to suss out her creativity and what ideas she has, if you map out all the shots then she's not really showcasing herself is she. I'm not saying, just let her get on with it and do it all if you have some ideas yourself but at the end of the day, you're paying her for her artistic and photographic skills and you should be able to see how she works at the practise shoot.
:love:11th March 2010- Got engaged to my amazing fiance, planning our wedding for 2012:love:
