Has anyone tried these ? At a salon? I know you can get home kits but I'm not sure if they'd work too well...I've been looking at the Universal Contour Wrap...they dont make you lose weight but they are supposed to pull you in a bit, like magic pants I suppose !

You wont lose any fat- they will not be able to make you lose weight (only way to do that is through fewer calories going in then coming out, eg cutting back on food and exercise combined). But they may be able to help with water retention and so you may see some water loss resulting in a lower mark at the scales and the odd inch off your body, but it will be back within hours if not days as your body returns to normal.
If your wealthy enough to afford it and want it before a night out then go for it, but don't expect magic and don't expect the results to be anywhere near perminant.
Other ways to get rid of water retention are..
Drinking more water (funnily enough) but stick to the non carbonated/fizzy and plain stuff.
Consuming less salt and foods high in refined sugar (such as white bread, white pasta, sweets, crisps, cakes and etc)
Exercising every day at least 30 mins, anything from walking to the gym to water aerobics to dancing or yoga.0 -
Thanks.
It sounds like I'd be better off doing as you suggest and buying some Spanx or M & S magic pants. Much cheaper!0 -
Yes- and the results would last longer! (qould last until you took them off and then begin again when you put them on). Spanx are a great brand for this too but have mega prices. M&S are good too (better then Primark, Tesco and countless others I have tried) but tried on a Spanx item and could see the difference straight away- much smoother curves, unfortunetly its unaffordable for most of us

I got some wraps from the net LA wraps or something. It does say that the effect continue for several days. And to drink plenty of water. So I cant see it can be just fluid loss that causes the loss of inches.
You do feel a burk though, wrapped up like a dummy. Actually, Ill get the kit out and have a go tomorrow as Im going away for a few days and could do with a few inches less round my waist
Thanks for reminding me.
