and WISE too late!0 -
If the phone is part of the contract, you will find the phone blocked and barred etc. so that it is unusable.0

We were on contract with Vodafone when we went br in March, we didnt want the contract no more so we included it in the br. But both the phones were never barred, and we are still using them on payg.BSC # 308I should really rename myself mummytothree!!! Child no3 born 14/09/10ED 12/01/110

Your Official Receiver may not accept your mobile phone contract so can reverse the contract, so therefore like it never happened and the outstanding/early termination will be included in your br.
Also 'Orange' could cancel your contract if Bankruptcy is in your t&c's. You may have to inform them or they may find out!
I had a £10-£15 contract with o2 and everything continued as normal during and after my br.0 -
I have a £25 per month contract with Orange that has continued with no problems.0

I was a bit scant in my original reply, but yes, if the phone is still within contract they will barr it.
So, a contract taken out 5 months ago with a free phone on a 24 month contract will find the phoned barred as it was part of the deal, but a contract that has expired (so is now a rolling contract) with no renewal and no new upgrade should not have the phone barred.
Orange did this with me, and Vodafone to two others I know of. However, Vodafone have not done it to my ex-OH.
Then there is always the luck of the draw!! Good old human error.
I guess the upshot of it is, as with all things in BR expect the worse and anything extra is a bonus.0 -
I recently sold a phone that I got on a contract, that will probably end up in my BR if I go down that route. I didn't even consider that the phone itself may be barred. If that happend the person who bought it won't be best pleased, and rightly so :eek:Total Debt as of January 2010: £61,234
