Sorry I wasnt sure where the most appropriate place for this type of thread. Mods please move if nessacery.

  • Ok, Short and too the point.
Was involved in a car acciident, I was moderately injured the whole process has been on going now for about 8 / 9 months now.

on the 7th month it was ment to be going to court because I didnt receive an offer.
shortly after I think (threatening them with court summons) a offer Came through and I was told by my solcitor that it wasnt enough but I went against their opinion and accepted the offer.

I was then told it takes 28 days for the cheque to arrive. 28 days later no cheque has been sent, therefore My solictor is going to send them to court again. Now its been about 34 days since I should of received my cheque for the value of the offer they sent me.

My questions is why does it take them so long to release the cheque when ;

  1. They have admitted fully responsibility
  2. Gave me an offer - (which I accepted)

So now (apparently) its going to court, like it was earlier on in the process but then they suddenly reacted. I am hoping for the same responce because I really dont want this to go on any longer.

Q. Why would they not release the cheque, and goto court if they have already accepted responsibility & gave me and offer. Surely this will loose even more money after going to court because the loosing side has to pay for the court fee's as well??

    Yup this is easy. Look up the definition of accident, sack your internet-tutored no win no fee solicitor, and stop undertaking actions which f**k up insurance premiums for the rest of us.
