Unsocial hours pay

Hi, does anyone have any experience of unsocial hours pay in the NHS? I'm about to start a new job that involves regular night shifts and am wondering how it all works and what sort of amount I might expect. I'll be standing below band 2 on a trainee salary.
Thanks!
Thanks!

band 2 starting salary is £13653 or £6.98ph

Typicaly you get basic pay for the hours you work.
Then the enhanced hours get factored base on the enhanced rate.
so for 8 hours nights at 0.6 enhancement at £6.98ph
hours * enhnced rate * normal rate
8*0.6*6.98 = £33.50 extra.
Depending on how they do the time sheets this extra pay can come in upto a month behind.0 -

It is always 0.6? I'm actually starting well below a normal band 2 salary, and will go up to it after training. If the enhancement stays the same though, I can use your sum to work it out!0 -
Time and a third for night shift or Saturday
Time and 2 thirds for a Sunday or Bank Holiday0 -

The enhancments are normaly 0.3 and 0.6 not 1/3, 2/3
But for pay band 2 this shoud be different
The OP needs to check wich T&C they will be working under and have a god read, the NHS T&C are extensive
If AfC then this probably applies (part 2 covers pay)

band 2 is 0.44 and 0.880
