Slow Recipes

This month's free Waitrose mag [Seasons] has a whole crop of recipes for slow cooking [in the oven] but I think they'd adapt very well to the slow cooker. OH and I are adapting the sausage and apple gravy one next week.

Yes I got that one too and thought the same thing. In fact I'm going to try out the chunky chilli recipe tomorrow! It's a good little leaflet isn't it and best of all, it's free!

If they are good, could you share them with us? We don't have a Waitrose around here.
Thanks!July Win: Nokia 58000 -

Thanks!
I've just done a search at https://www.waitrose.com and if you type 'chunky chilli' into the recipe search, the recipe comes up, and it's printable. Will try and remember to post whether or not it's edible
but it looks ok on paper!
Actually I almost wish I hadn't looked, there's a gorgeous chocolate brownie with pear and nut recipe on the September recipe page, my poor diet plans......
Hope this helps

Frugalfairy- thanks for posting the link to the Waitrose site for people. As usual I never seem to have time to follow up any of my posts with further info!

No problem
- I get so much useful help from this board I'm glad to help whenever I can in a small way.
My chilli is in the slow cooker today - just discovered that I used up my red kidney beans last week in a bean salad so will have to sling baked beans in instead  - I'm sure it will taste just as nice
Will post results tomorrow!

Thanks for this. Our oven has got a slow cooker setting but I've only ever done chicken, which isn't very nice to be honest as its too soft. Never used it again.0
