Can't get mortgage misery - Help

Hello

Just wondered if anyone out there has any advice or info that may help my desperate plight!

I am newly debt free after 13 years of agony. I have two defaults on my credit report from 2005 and have also saved a £20,000 deposit. So far i have been unable get a sniff of a mortgage, is there any hope?! I know that my defaults only have another year until they are removed but am desperate to get my own place (moved back to parents for fourth time!)

Also, i have been to the mortgage bureau but don't feel that the lady there had any expertise in specialist mortgages, does anyone know of a financial advisor or company that could help? Thanks
£23,000 debt cleared June 2010. Opted for Payplan DMP 2005, took matters into my own hands 2008 in order to clear debt speedier. Yipee I got there! :j

You may need to post more info like your income and how much you want to borrow.

1 more year, after 13, is not long to ride it out.

    Keep your credit history clean.

    Try again in 2012.

If you did get a mortgage now, you can be sure you would be penalised on the interest rates for years to come for those defaults. Keep saving and try again in a year.
    Been away for a while.
