Looking after allotments during holidays

Hi, this may be getting a bit late in the season but I was wondering if there would be any opportunity to earn a little extra money by looking after people's gardens or allotments when they're on holiday. I am very experienced gardener and love growing my own vegetables.
I also don't know how much to charge or the best place to advertise.
Has anyone done this before or have any ideas?

Vegetable allotments kinda take care of themselves this time of year, all they need is a watering and allotmenteers usually ask each other to water their crops whilst they're away and then return the favour later.
And how wild can a garden get in a week or two??
You'd be better of printed some flyers and offer your service as a gardener, especially to the older folk. most of my elderly neighbours have a lad comes round once a fortnight/month to tidy thing up for them. A tenner a time, so get a few customers and you might make good money.
Good luck though marra.0 -

I pay £8.00 an hour. That is relatively cheap in my area.'You can't change the past, you can only change the future' Gary Boulet.
