Yesterday I signed up for my credit file at experian, they have maild me back asking to send them proof of ID and two copies of bills ect as they have no record of me:rolleyes: I take it that not being on the electrol roll has brought this up
surely this is not good, we are looking to get a mortgage soon and with no credit file
I recently got a credit card for 'just in case' and the approved me only if I supplied the same information as above.
Been here at this house for 6 years and not been on the electrol roll, stupid or what:rolleyes:
What can I do

I had that when I applied online. So applied for the £2 one instead, paid for it on my credit card and that went through with no problems!
I've moved house and changed my name, so assume the online report is more strict than the £2 one or something!!working on clearing the clutterDo I want the stuff or the space?0 -
You can get a free credit report from https://www.annualcreditreport.co.uk. Not sure though if they would ask for ID like the others.0
