My son is getting married next year and we need 7 mens suits for the day.
Any recommendations or any place to stay way from.
Some indication of prices would be useful as well.
Many thanks:)

What area would be best for you to hire from? Take into consideration were is reception as it may be if all 7 are staying over in venue somewhere near there might be handy for returning.0

We live in north down so anywhere in the greater belfast area.0 -
We used Linleys on Main Street Bangor to hire suits both for the wedding which was outside the country and also for our reception a week after we returned. We got quoted a brilliant price which turned out to be wrong as they hadn't priced correctly for both hires. They did have a good selection though and even at the correct price, 2 lots of suit hire worked out reasonable.0

Thanks for replies but I heard a rumour that Linleys may be closing0

They'd be top of my list then. They may well sell off their suits which could work out cheaper than hiring them. Could be worth a punt.0 -
we used red in carrickfergus for our wedding - no complaints and quite reasonable compared to a lot of places.0

Folks,
Can I ask what the going price would be for a hired 3 piece suit for a wedding? Going to get myself sorted at start of August and would like to have a ball park figure per person so I know if I'm being ripped off.
Was going to try Gowdy's on Woodstock road as this would be the most central to me and my fellow men who will need kitted out.Regards, Robin.2011 MFW # 34

I used Balmoral Hire in Finaghy about 5 years ago and wasn't impressed at all. 3 out of 6 shirts had to be returned prior to use as they were filthy. The suits had been collected by a groomsman thus were not checked but they shouldn't need to be checked.
Father of the bride had a poorly fitting Jacket and it also had to be replaced prior to the wedding. A lot of extra rushing about which is not needed prior to a wedding!
A friend recently used a service where the formal hire man came to the house, fitted the men and then delivered all suits about a week prior to wedding and came back to collect the week after, no problems with it, good price etc. I think it was called personal touch formal wear hire but will try and find out the correct name.0
