Yes so you could call yourself your old user name2 (like Really2) so everyone knew instead of hiding under a different name.

It works for some on here.;)

I think you will know who I am thinking of, do you think it's yet another id that he is using?

he is hiding under the Exocet user id amongst others at the moment.

i wonder why Exocet was so quick to defend himself...

That's who first sprung to my mind although I have simply lost count of what id's he is using at the moment, so Exocet is latest fully established m***** id is it?

EDIT: Oh just noticed you are calling him mewbie openingly on the other thread so need for me to be discreet

Shouldn't the OP's question be 'are there any people who are bullish about the housing market over the next xxx months/years?'

No one is a permanent bear or bull about a single market, people's opinions on a particular market change from one period to the next depending on the state of the market. It never ceases to amaze me how erroneously used the terms Bull and Bear are in here, it shows a complete lack of understanding intelligence and I wish all sides would just stop it!

For the record, I'm bearish in the short term, and think that the housing market has run out of steam and will have small drops intersperced with stagnation, in many ways mirroring what is currently happening with the FTSE. I'm bullish in the long term because when the economy picks up and the UK Sovereign debt is paid down, renewed confidence will once again lift the housing market.

The UK populace has not lost it's love affair with property, it's just sulking because it's been slighted. In a couple of years the passion with be renewed. Even the most 'bearish' on here are here obsessing day in and day out about house prices - clearly then the love affair is still on-going or they would not be so obsessed with houses.

The bears on here are part of the problem, if they stopped going on and on about wanting to buy a home, then interest in property would flag and house prices would fall. I blame the whole bear gang for the HPI that we suffered from over the last 10 years. You're all to blame for this, you damned bears!

Most people on here are either looking to buy or have just bought and are therefore clearly worried about where prices are going in the short term ie over a 2-5 year period. No one wants to buy a property and then find out they could have bought it year or two later for 10% less.

There are a few who have a general interest in economics, few BTL Landlords worried about their portfolio and a few haters of anyone who either want or think prices will fall in the short term ie over the next couple of years.

No one would be wasting their time on a forum worrying about where prices will be in 10-25 years as we all no its likely to be up and no ones going to put their life on hold for that sort of period.

What interests me is that there were those and are still those who say early 2009 was the bottom of any crash no maybe etc it will be interesting over the next few months whether any of those start changing their mind or stick to their guarantees

It is a slightly ironic thread considering there are only about 3 bears, operating around 5 alias's each, without even making an attempt to disguise that fact.

And there were those that called early 2009 as the bottom during 2008 under constant carping from the certain 50% crash during 2009 brigade icon7.gif you know who you are.
