Friday 9th July - What small DFW things have you done today?!

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free :money:
Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important
:D
Goooood morning - wooohooo it's Friday:beer:
I have a day ay home today - didn't sleep til quite late last night so very tired now, might sneal back to bed once girls are at school:o Can't have an early night tonight as DD1 has a party at swimming pool tonight and needs picking up at 10.30:eek:
Going to carry on with my uni work too...getting there. Ok, will crack on with my list:

Hi everyone - I am on a bit earlier than normal as I had to take B to school for 7. She is off to Bath today to take part in an ICT competition - wave at her as she goes past Milly!
Today I have / will:
1) Managed to nab two free screening tickets for Made in Dagenham.
2) Washing on ready to dry outside with lots more to follow.
3) Checked banking, CCs, quidco, did SC. I am waiting on some money owed to me then I will clear my Virgin CC - hurry up, can't wait!
3) No work for me today, woo hoo! Instead I am planning an early assault on the charity shops and 99p shop followed by a day of housework and gardening til the school run.
4) Will take T to a new park after school. The council have been given lots of money through the playbuilder scheme and new parks and refurbs are springing up all over the place.
5) Pop to the library and get more lovely books.
6) All meals from stores. OH is out with the lads after work, so we can all have yummy pizza for tea. ( I have broken his pizza bone by feeding it to him too often).
7) Send photos of T and his latest creation to Lego magazine, to stop him pestering me!
I am sure I will think of more later. Have a lovely day, L x0 -

At last I've reached the pay out level of £10 with Valued Opinions surveys so have ordered a £10 Boots voucher.
I did this last time and managed to buy enough toiletries using BOGOF, offers etc to last about 6 weeks.
I'm now about 1/3 of the way to making the extra £100 in my challenge this month - I also have about £60 waiting to be received via Quidco but this sometimes takes ages so will only count it when it arrives. (Just got another £9 for doing the travel imsurance through Quidco).
On the mundane side - have also just put a wash on - don't want to come back from hols to a basket full of OH's dirty work shirts!0 -
:j:jwoop woop to a free trip to an amusement park.
My kiddies are in their 20's and still go, but Popeye doesn't like them at all (insert confused smilie here)
Morning All :hello:
Sunny and bright here and we're planning a Braai (barbeque to you) for tomorrow. They think we're mad having a Braai in the middle of winter :rotfl: But we're going off road driving with friends and that'll be a perfect end to a mornings "hard work"
So today I have/will:
Done 15 mins on the CT  and may do another set later......
Cleared up the kitchen
Will wash the woollens (kept them well away from the maid, she doesn't understand delicates:rotfl:)
Will buy some more firewood, firelighters and charcoal - some for tomorrows Braai, but most for our fireplace
It's lovely sitting by the fire in the evening
(with a )
Have a great day everyone :A- I have to post at speed this week, the internet has been SO unreliable  )0 -
