anyone had one?

just looking for some experiences of it!

ive got my bikini line waxed quite a few times, just tidied up the edges etc (although was very painful today, dont know if im extra sensitive due to pregnancy or if its because id let it grow like the amazon before hand :rotfl:) but normally i can deal with the pain as its over so quick, so i was wondering if a hollywood is anymore painful to get done??

I used to be a Hollywood-er (until recently when I started up the Boots smoothskin system!) and to be honest I found the areas like the very tops of the inside of my thighs worse than say the pubic "mound" (ugh doesn't sound very pleasant first thing in the morning!) where you would think it would be worse due to the greater concentration of hair!
But like you say I think its definately dependent on how sensitive you are during different times of the month etc (in your case pregnancy!) and how good the person is doing it

I'm a Hollywood girl too. I barely feel anything around the bikini line but the inner edges of my labia and around the top near my clit hurt.

You should never wax long hair - it shouldn't be more than 5mm long.

see i think its the "mound" bit that scares me the most, thats where it currently stings the most when i get it done, although i only get a slight bit off the top. the insides of my thighs dont hurt me at all, although the beautician said this was the bit that hurts her the most. it must be different for every woman. i dont think i can do it! maybe i should try getting the beautician to take it in a little further each time, and build it up? i dont think i have the balls to do it all at once. then i was thinking of having a brazillian, so i dotn have to get all of the "mound" off. argh i wish i was a man.

Wow you're brave! I get my bikini line done often and I've had a brazilian once but there's no way I could have it all off.....I'd always suggest, whatever you're getting, to trim the hairs down beforehand as longer hair being ripped out really kills. The idea of a Hollywood wax coupled with this horrid heat is making me feel rather unwell....

is the hollywood the whole lot off :eek: i currently do this but shave it, do you have to lay there with your foof hanging out or do they let you cover it a bit, not sure if i could do that, might have to travel to another city in case i know them lol

You get the best result if you just bare the lot and spread wide. Doesn't bother me in the slightest - I have a very pretty food

I carry out many hollywoods and brazilians on both men and women. If you decide to have this done make sure you ask for non strip wax. Once you've had it done with this type of wax you'll never go back to strip wax! If your hair is long please don't trim it. The chances are you'll cut it too short to be waxed properly, and there is always the risk of cutting yourself. The therapist will trim it to the length he/she needs it to be.
I always ask my clients to remove their undies. It's a pain in the tonsils trying to wax around them and frankly, all I'm interested in the direction of hair growth, not their nether regions!
