wedding dress worries

i was at the ladies house last night for my dress fitting, my dress is too big at the top of the bust, its fine at the nipple area but its really gapey above that. theres so much beading at the top of my dress that the seamstress worries that cutting into it will cause me to lose a lot of my beading. so shes suggesting altering the inside layer, but this with leave excess material on the outside bunched up. she suggested straps for it which in a halterneck style i really liked but that still doesnt solve the gapey top.
shes on holiday next week and its starting work on it when she gets back the 19th. i get married on the 30th!
if its gapey or bunched then i wont be happy. so my mum has suggested going to glasgow or edinburgh to try and get another dress!
this is the first time ive felt stressed!
all the other local seamstresses are booked.
any recommendations for shops in the central belt for dresses under £300?

Are you bothered about losing any of the beading? If you're not then see if it can be altered to fit you then see if any of the beading can be re arranged.
Hope you manage to get it sorted, I don't know a great deal about dress alterations but I'd be panicking too! I know that's no help, sorry!
Post a pic of your dress and the size you have or think would be better and maybe we could suggest some back ups?0 -
the beading is in a pattern so if some of it was lost then it wouldnt look right, also the beads are teeny tiny so i can imagine what a job it would be if they came off(something i dont think the seamstress is up to)
my dress is alfred angelo 1622.
im not going to buy online again though this late, for fear of the same thing happening again. i want to go into a dress shop and try something on.0
