Has anyone heard of my photographer?

Just wondered as have had a few niggly problems with her (ie her NEVER replying to emails) and am getting worried as the wedding is in October and i haven't heard from her (despite emailing loads!) at all.....

Sue Lloyd Photography - she is based in Worcestershire.

Dont expect anyone will be able to help but it would be really nice to know if anyone has heard of her or seen reviews etc :o
Baldrick, does it have to be this way? Our valued friendship ending with me cutting you up into strips and telling the prince that you walked over a very sharp cattle grid in an extremely heavy hat?

Could you call doown to her studio? If she has one?
i had a bit of a wobble about my photograpger as I couldn't get hold of them but it is wedding season so she may just be really busy? Where did you find her?

She doesn't have a studio... i went round to her house when i first found her to have a look at the actual albums as i know u need to do that really... i could ring her, its true but the things i was emailing about are such little silly things that i would feel a divvy ringing about them but emailing seems okay for things like "do i need to give u lists of shots that i definitely like", or "how do you know which people i would really like photos of if i am having mainly reportage"...i know these questions are just little but its just quick email stuff surely?

Am not making much sense i know, i guess it just worries me cos i feel like if she isn't organised enough to answer an email or two asking simple questions, in the space of about 7 months then that doesnt bode well for customer service in generaly maybe?? And i know i could ring her as i said, but i dont like to sound pushy for the sake of little things :( Oh - and it is wedding season NOW, but i was emailing in like Jan and Feb and March lol... she lives about 5mins up road from me and we were snowed in when i was emailing her lol so she must have been at home LOL

Dont wanna sound like i am slating her cos she seemed lovely (albeit a bit ditsy lol!) and her photos are lovely AND she is very reasonably priced.......

Has she replied to any emails?
My query was a simple little thing that probably would have been better in an email but because I couldn't get hold of them it became some sort of mission to speak with them and not email!! Have you paid a deposit or have a contract?

Have paid a deposit of £100 - no contract but i have copies of the booking form and i got her to email me confirming that she has received a deposit and what it is for etc. Its not that i think she is dodgy per se, i think she is just a bit dappy lol... but it'd be nice to know what other clients have thought etc etc... but cannot find anywhere with reviews or anything grrrrrr

    lol!

Her website has some blog testimonials on it but they haven't been updated since August 2009.

I would be inclined to send her a recorded delivery letter (she has to sign for that) and give her 7 days to reply and maybe start looking for another photographer. If she is uncommunicative now what is she going to be like on your wedding day..is she likely to forget and not turn up?

I am not saying that she is bad, just unprofessional and uncaring about her business which is probably why she is so cheap - its more of a hobby to her and not an actual business.
  • We have booked her so would be interested to hear back from anyone.

Have also paid £100 deposit but haven't had a receipt through yet......

We are from Gloucester - I think you might have actually recommended her to us a while back - i'm sure we posted a question on here...

When we went up to see her and her husband she seemed lovely, just a little concerned I suppose as it is nice to back some acknowledgement in writing but I can appreciate that she might be busy...:)
