I was buying coffee last week, and in the couple of minutes it took me to pick a jar two people came by and each grabbed a 100g jar, completely ignoring that right next to it was a 50% extra free jar of the exact same coffee for the same price. I also have noticed people often buying one of a BOGOF item, including when the item is something long lasting like washing powder or jam.
I suspect that many people just pile stuff in trolley and hand over money, and that supermarkets have it easy. I'm not convinced they even have to try to part many people with extra money.
Yes but for some people who are working, their time is more valuable. I can spend 10 mins deliberating over how to save 50p, or 10 mins working where I earn more money (well, just about!!!).Forever I will sail towards the horizon with you0 -
The one that amuses me (don't know if it's still the same but it certainly was a couple of months ago) is the Basics Cornish Pasties. Individually wrapped they are 31p each, but a pack of 3 is 99p.
Also we recently bought a 1L carton of fruit juice for 87p, and the carton was printed "Any 3 for £4". I assume that one was a printer's error that no-one had noticed!
I haven't bogged off yet, and I ain't no babe

That's probably an old offer than made sense when the price was higher and they haven't chnaged the packaging. If it was a long life carton they could have considerable stock in the warehouses to get rid of before they get to the new design.Bogof_Babe wrote: »The one that amuses me (don't know if it's still the same but it certainly was a couple of months ago) is the Basics Cornish Pasties.
