PG tips at Iceland £3 a box

Sorry for this being a bit(!) vague & it's a few weeks out oif date.
From Netto I bought a bag of PG Tips, 2.5KG, 1150 tea bags. They're loose inside the big bag. I'm certain they were a good buy as I spend my life looking for deals around £3 for 240, or better.
'Best Before End' 08/2011 - bought 30th May at Market Drayton. I've an idea they were about 1p a bag - not so good after all ?0 -
You can get 100 PG TIPs teabags in the pound shop for a price equal to 100 pennies.
Maybe the teabags are better quality in Iceland as they are purveyors of quality products. Hence hiring Kerry Katona to promote their brand.
A woman with significantly more "class" than a second hand prophylactic although probably a lot more messy.
I have a horrible image of her popeyefied face pointing to her butt hole saying " itsch a great deal.. insert coin here for my crack"
But then realised that was wholly inappropriate. She doesn't advertise Asda. Or anything anymore.

About the same price, just over the 1p something like 1.25p and 1.04p i know i looked at them at got my phone out, and used the calculator on it. 300/240= 1.25p per tea bag, and i think the 1150 where £12, so you saved 1/5 of a penny a bag, as I already bought my tea and family's, I didn't buy any more. Had 17boxs in the spare room and i know none of them would pay me £12 for the tea, even if it where cheaper than the 240 for £3. They don't buy in bulk like me.
note current offer in nettos is £6 for 460bags = 1.3p per bag
Never seen PG TIPS teabags in the poundshop and as my local pound shop is 8-9miles away compared with Iceland which is half a mile. cost of petrol on top + cost of parking for both. i do have a 99p shop and havent seen pgtips in there either. I'll have a closer look when i go down tomorrow.0 -
Sainsburys has the 240 boxes (I'm pretty sure) for 2 for £6, so anyone who doesn't like Iceland can get them there! and earn Nectar Points
lol well only 12 nectar points, but still. I almost bought them but already have 2 full boxes in cupboard from last offer! 0 -

Sadly not, I actually saw these today, wasn't looking for teabags but obviously they were on a big display. They are the 160 pack 2 for £6, so not such good value, their 240 box is still the whopping price of £5.45! Icelands is something like £4.79 when not on offer I believe.0
