I'm sure i heard talk of someone (not a random person, but a person at BoE or in the government or somewhere, sorry for not remembering) saying that they wanted rates at 3.5% by the new year.
Perhaps I dreamt that. It's a weird place in my head i can tell you.saving up another deposit as we've lost all our equity.
We're 29% of the way there...0 -

I would say so every thing I have seen is 0.5% in to next year.0 -

I'm pleased anyway, mortgage payments stay low, so we can continue overpaying the mortgage.saving up another deposit as we've lost all our equity.

I'd actually be willing to bet that rates will still be at 0.5% this time next year, and won't cross 2.5% before 2015.
Have you had access to the BOE meeting minutes already?0 -
Thank you. ie a total of £8480.00 saved on mortgage interest for me0

Not worried about property price. If I am renting I have to pay atleast £600.00/month for the house I live. Thanks to the low IR I pay £70.00/month on mortgage interest for past 16 months. So why should I bother about the property price for the time being0 -
Phew! Applied for a tracker mortgage in March and haven't even drawn down the loan yet due to the other people in our chain (we've actually managed to find people who need two months between exchange and completion). Well done Cameron-Clegg for making me feel a bit better about taking a tracker instead of a 3 year fix; I was nervous when the news was looking rosier prior to their budget.0
