Am now BR! OR appt in person!!

Hi there

Well have done the deed, went BR yesterday, went to court, handed over my money, went to another office they took my papers, went for a coffeee and got called, went back, there were my papers all stamped and the clerk told me I was now bankrupt. then had to go and see OR straight away, she looked through forms, discussed my car (on HP). Made an appointment to go and see her in 2 weeks - so not all done on the phone as I thought. Feel empty and cry whenever I look at the form. They have requested 12 months bank and cc statements (which I dont have) will the bank give them to me ?

Thanks to everyone on here have got invaluable advice from this forum.

However, am now more scared as having to see the OR FTF rather than on the phone and it says allow 2-3 hours for the appointment, did anyone else have an experience like this?

Well done, that is one hurdle over with. Was yours a personal BR or was there a business involved?

Hi, it was personal bankruptcy but had to do it as company went ito liqiudation, does this make a difference? thanks

Thanks, she seemed nice, told me not to worry as I explained how sorry and ashamed I was to have to do this and all I was worried about was my family and our home, she gave me some advice re the BI which is quite large and myself and partner have a car each in joint HP, she said I couldn't keep both, but am now worried as if take one car back my partner will become liable for the shortfall in the finance, she did mention someone else taking the finance - not sure if this can be done. Also if partner takes responsibility for 1 car on HP will not be contributing as much monthly into budget - we listed the cars as part of our outgoings, I use one to get to and from work and partner uses other for work. Am so mixed up and confused, as what will happen. Also if one car has to go back it will leave more money available each month spare, but then partner will not be able to contribute as much as will be liable for the shortfall, and if partner can keep both will not be able to contribute as much. Sorry to waffle, but can my incomings and outgoings be altered at the OR interview. Thanks anyone for help.

As curly has said whenever there is a business involved it nearly always involves F2F interview. That is the reason I asked that question, try not to worry and you will be fine. Any statements you cannot provide they can easily get themselves.

try not to worry about the f2f appointment. as dojoman says any statements you don't have the OR can get themselves

you'll be fine. stressful time but things will get easier x

Thanks, in my clearer moments I keep thinking this, but then this fog of confusion, fear and panic steps in and I feel myself free falling, its been such a shock as this time 2 months ago thought that everything was rosey. What a fool I was.

I had a FTF appt over 3yrs ago...preferred that to a telephone one any day
