Fed up with Lloyds

My OH has phoned Lloyds re our charges (OH’s fault for putting in a cheque 2 days late – but I thought they might help if he talks to them about it) and getting 5 returned DDs.
He spoke to the Manager who said someone from the branch would get back to him, a woman did, who insisted that she could not deal with it over the phone and that we would have to come into the branch to discuss the matter. My OH insisted that she deal with it over the phone and the woman said “I don’t have time to speak to you Mr Hobbs I have other people to deal with” and then hung up. Why would she want us to come into the branch to sort it out?
HOW RUDE?!
Once I have got this sorted I am changing banks
And then I will be after some advice on getting back bank charges. Any advice on where to start appreciated as Im sure we have been charged unfairly before.

LoopyLouLou,
Not sure if this will be much help to you but have you tried ringing their call center (0845 070 0365)? I've always found them to be very useful and friendly (lovely welsh girls). Everytime I've had a problem I've contacted tham and they've helped out and didnt get snotty with me.
Hope this is useful

you need to send a letter of complaint in, i did this and someone rang me saying they were my account manager! she was lovely and apologised for the rudeness of some of the staff and also tried to help with other things-oh and she knocked £100 worth of charges off!official dfw nerd club member no 214

Why is a person that handles your money called a broker?!0 -
Look at https://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk.
If you register on the site you will then have all the information you need to claim back your charges :j - it has all the letter templates and what order and when to do things - I am just embarking on a journey with the Halifax!:o
And the site must be good - it has a picture of :money: on the front page! :TDebt free date - June 2008 :T :T :T0 -
