Need help on debt management company called IC FINANCIAL/IC SERVICES for family

Hello Everyone im really in a pickle about this one and throught i'd come here and ask for help
My mum is facing some tuff times like everyone and ran into some debt with debit store cards and catalouges in 2007 however she signed up to a debit consoldition (excuse my spelling) company called IC FINANCIAL/IC SERVICES which since 2007 has been taking over 100 pound a month form her bank account to cover the debt up to the present day.
However over the months there has been bailifts coming to the door from one of the debts she owes which the company insists is paying it every month.she has it set up by direct debit and has the bank statements to show its been paid yet more bailiffs for one of the company's keep sending the bailiffs
On there website it says once she made this agreement to pay what she owe the creditor should not ask for more contact and under the OFT guide it is improper pratice and the company can lose it licence for doing so yet they keep sending bailiffs while my poor 73 year old mother pays this company month after month.
what can we do about this,Does she need to see a solictor? she is really imtimated by the whole thing.
Thanks and looking for advice and good replies.

my first port of call would be go back to IC Financial let tehm know whats going on, they _should_ be able to put a stop to it if they are doing what they said they would.0

she has already done that and they have sent the payment details but the company "dorthery perkins" whom she owes some of the debt too keeps sending out the bailiffs even when my mum has contacted the bank and debit company in question. were thinking now what is the next step"MSE Money saving challenges..8/12/13 3,500 saved so far :j" p.s if i been helpfully please leave me a thank you but seek official advice at all times from a pro0

hiya
is your mum on a dmp and is she paying for there services if so you need to look here Arrange an appointment with PayPlan (www.payplan.com) or CCCS (www.cccs.co.uk), who maybe able to help. Both are companies that provide free DMPs, but they should provide some advice too they will also be able to help with the bailiffs.
until you have sorted this out i would make sure your mum keeps all windows locked and no car on the drive way or outside the house there is no need to pay a dmp company hope this helpsalways smile no matter how broken you are.0 -
I don't know too much about bailiffs but I do know that they cannot legally enter a property or take goods, such as a car, without a court order. This sounds more like a doorstep collection agency, who have no legal powers whatsoever. If your mum has had a county court judgement issued against her, she would have received notification from the court. If this is the case, then it may be that the creditors have not been receiving the payments. You definitely need to contact IC Financial and make sure that the creditor is receiving payments from them.
I have tried Googling the company but nothing is coming up, you should definitely consider contacting one of the debt management charities on your mum's behalf, I'm sure that some, if not most of her monthly payment is going to this company instead of paying off her debts, she should not be having doorstep collectors hassling her at this stage of a DMP. Her bank statements will just show the payment to IC Financial, they will not show where the money is going from there. Does she have any other correspondance from the creditor? Keep us posted, it definitely sounds a bit dodgy to me."I may be many things but not being indiscreet isn't one of them"0 -
