Debenhams gift list how do you buy?

Someone has passed on a debenhams gift list number to us for their wedding. My question is how/what do I do?
If I order online do I have to pay delivery costs? Do the items come to me to wrap and take to the wedding? What happens if I buy instore to avoid delivery costs? If I decide what to buy and then go instore to buy it as my normal shopping, won't it remain on the gift list meaning the gift could be duplicated? Or do I show someone in store the number and they do something with it?

These may sound daft questions, but I've never bought from one before!

I'm not sure about buying it online (I've only bought vouchers - so not sure about the delivery charges)
but the best thing to do is go into store and get the gift list printed - this will show you what is still left to buy (go to the wedding department and they will help you print it off)
Choose your item, and then go and pay for it - get the gift list scanned, cos it has a barcode on it - this means that your gift will be removed from the list so that someone else can't duplicate the gift.
As far as I remember, you can choose to take the gift with you and wrap it yourself, or ask Debs to wrap it for you and it gets delivered to the couple before the wedding.

p.s if you go to the debenhams website and onto the wedding gift lists - you can put the number in (or the happy couples' names and wedding date) and it will show you what is left to buy - you can have a mooch around and choose some items that you would like to buy.
(choose a couple, cos sods law says by the time you get to Debs, someone else will have bought the item you wanted!!)

All you need to do is go to the debenhams gift list site and find your friend's list. It will tell you what is left to buy and you can buy it online. You will not be charged for delivery costs. You can buy it online and write a personal message.

Debenhams will then arrange with the couple to deliver all the presents direct to them after the wedding at a mutually convenient time.

This is what I did for my friend, as I didn't want the hassle of having to go to the shop, buy the gift, wrap it and take it to the venue. It was very simple and done with 5 minutes or so.

I've recently bought a wedding gift from the Debenhams gift list. They charged us delivery but it was sent direct to the B&G. The B&G then got a £50 voucher for setting up the gift list in that way. (ie debenhams made a small fortune on delivery charges and passed a small amount of that to the B&G). We had no other option but to pay the delivery. They also won't allow you to use defree delivery codes / discounts etc.

Debenhams dont charge for delivery its been stopped now, My Aunt works on wedding gifts in Debenhams and I asked her today, the fact you were charged was wrong and it shouldnt have happened, if it wasnt too long ago I would write to them about it, I know they used to charge for delivery but its been stopped recently to encourage more people to do it that way.
