                    HELP!! Massive dilemma?!
Are you paying for your photographer to have the 3 course meal that your guests are having or not? What is "the done thing?"
We've knocked him down on price by £500 from his original so am I being tight not paying for him? I wasn;'t planning on, but he's a nice guy!
Really need opinions quick as wedding is in 2 days, eeek!
Thanks

I think the done thing is to provide your photographer with a hot meal at the bar or similar. Not with your wedding guests! What matters most is how well you walk through the fire0

I think the general idea is that you sort out some food for them i.e. a bar meal but not the big 3 course meal; you're paying him to do a job and I don't know about you but when I go to work I don't get a free 3-course meal on my break time!
Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0 -
theres another thread about it here that should help

If your photographer (and other suppliers actually) are with you all day they certainly would appreciate being fed. It doesn't have to be the same 3 course meal your guests are having though - just the main course should be fine. Some photographers actually put food clauses in their contracts!0

I find it really bizarre that they put it in contracts? Whats wrong with a packed lunch?
I used to work a 12 hour day, have an unpaid hours break and have to pay for my own lunch. And probably get paid less than a tenth of what my photographer is gettingWhat matters most is how well you walk through the fire0 -
We're paying for our photographer to have the 3 course meal.
Felt it only fair as she'll be with us from 9am until 10pm, and she's doing us a massive favor as finding one free our wedding date was becoming difficult (She's a friend of a friend anyway)
I've had a few "grumpy" family members pull out anyway so it's only filling a space :rotfl:0 -
I asked our photographer if he needed food sorting and he said no don't worry we'll sort ourselves out. I wasn't going to argue!!:beer:0

Ours will only be working the afternoon, wedding at 2pm, sitting down approx. 4.15pm and he will have scarpered by then after doing fake cake shot!0

Ours are travelling from Leeds, there are two of them and they are going to be there from about 2pm until around 9pm. I've also got them for only 395 so I don't mind feeding them. I asked at the initial meeting too, they're fine with a few sandwhiches as whilst we're all eating they'll make a start going through the pics taken so far.
Could you phone the photographer and ask if he'd want a sandwich? Tell him you'd only just thought of it, it'd be worse if as you sit down he takes a seat or he's nothing to eat as he was expecting something from you0 -
We're not paying for a meal ~ their studio is only 5 mins from our venue!
They are so nice though, they've even offered to take us in their car somewhere lovely to have some special shots done!Tank fly boss walk jam nitty gritty...0
