  • Well, this is what I would do I would buy several copies of the Times today (each has a voucher for £2.60) - the Times itself costs 60p **therefore a £2 profit on each paper **

Then I would go to Tescos and buy the Welsh Beef Steak Mince 500g at 2 packs for £3.50, purchasing however many I needed and get a few other bits. Then I would choose a young male bored cashier and hand over several of the aforementioned vouchers and have a huge discount off the mince and earn clubcard points. Also hoping that the till would generate a till spill voucher too.

Hope that helps - Welshy x

Welshy, will Tesco take these if you don't but the magazine? Also will they take multiples? Which is the best supermarket for accepting vouchers when you don't buy the product. I am not usually organised enough for vouchers, but £2 profit is too good to miss.

Also to OP, there was some mispriced scottish (sorry Welshy) mince in lots of Tesco stores recently, you could look look for this and then go get an R+R. I got 4 packs of 500g free last Friday for a friend who is having a party and making a big Chilli. Look on the Tesco misprices thread on the Grabbit board.

  • Hiya Harriet  yes Tesco will take these vouchers if you do not buy the magazine, so quick run to your local newsagents before Felicity and Coupon-mad buy all the newspapers ;):p
Tescos is the best for taking vouchers in my area, choose a bored looking young cashier and I find I have no probs.

However, if you get a crabby cashier who will not let you use the vouchers, smile sweetly and use them next time.

    Hope that helps Welshy x

  • Thanks Welshy, I bought 1 copy, but will go get a few more as there are some serious misprices around at Mr T's at the moment and I thought I would have a look tonight. This is going to be nearly as much fun as the healthcare vouchers, and I don't have to look for BOGOF's either!
