covers and sashes when your theme is black ??

Am trying to source a good deal on chair covers and sashes up here in the north east.
Lots of places are advertising the organza bow tie things for the chairs but when I see them up close they look more grey/charcoal coloured so I have been looking for satin ones but the price is a bit large
Anyone got any ideas how to overcome this problem ??
I've got nothing against organza just want it to be very black not grey
TIA xx

Ahh I see what you mean sorry!
They probably don't look very black as the fabric is so sheer, I'm sure once they're on and tied though that they would look OK?
Would it be cheaper for you to buy some fabric and you or someone you know run some sashes up?Tank fly boss walk jam nitty gritty...0 -
im having satin sashes with my chair covers and im paying £2 a chair.0

Could they do the sashes double thickness ie two sashes together instead of just one? It would instantly deepen the colour, IKWYM though about the organza though that's the problem with it being sheer, you don't get that really deep colour.
You could go to your local fabric shop and see if they can do you a deal on black satin lining fabric then all you need to do is cut it out and hem it!0
