Looking at the customer reviews, might be worth passing on this
I think those reviews were from people that paid the full price, £200ish, when it first came out, looking at the dates on the reviews. Fair enough, if you are going to spend £200 on a vacuum, you would be better off going for a Dyson or whatever.
I bought one about a month ago for around £50, the last time the price went down and for that price it is a good buy. It is powerful, has good attachments and tools, and is generally a good vacuum.
A similar, but a model lower in tesco is currently £99.97. (amazon is power 5, tesco power 4) Also the reviews are slightly better on tesco, 8.1 out of 10, reevoo impartial reviews.

I have this hoover, very powerful and great for dog hairs! Only downside is it is really heavy, i struggle to do our stairs due to the weight but to be honest i think that would be the same with all 2400w. Great for that price though!0

I had a Vax Mach7 bought for £100 (half price). It was heavy, and the pick-up was very poor. Eventually flogged it on eBay for £30 and got a Dyson Ball at £200. The difference is unreal - the first vac with the Dyson picked up tons.
Either go on eBay and pick up a cheap cast off, or buy a better vac! Don't waste your money - I regret ever going for the Vax.0 -

I've got this one

Do not under any circumstances buy it!
It is absolutely rubbish - have had it since Jan and just about to throw it away - it doesn't pick up anything!
It has a brush in the head that you can't remove and you have to practically pick any bits off the carpet yourself and manually feed them in!
I don't actually have any pets thankfully but if I did I would be tearing my hair out with this thing!
Awful hoover!!!:mad:0
