Heres a list of free image hosting sites
Photobucket and maybe some others allows you to save images to be viewable on other sites such as ebay which is very useful(more info below)

On ebay only your first picture is free

Dont be restricted on ebay by having to pay for pictures
If you have images online like with photobucket and dont know your html just follow instructions below

in the area where you set up your item description choose html view
choose a place where you want your image and type in the following code

<img src="http://TheURLLocationOfYourImageEndingWith.jpg">
If you want it centered add <center> in front and </center> at the end.
Try not to insert it within text starting with <p> and ending with </p>

Have it stand under text insert it as
<p><img src="http://TheURLLocationOfYourImageEndingWith.jpg"></p>

For a series of pictures
<p><img src="http://TheURLLocationOfYourImageEndingWith.jpg">
<br><img src="http://TheURLLocationOfYourImageEndingWith.jpg">
<br><img src="http://TheURLLocationOfYourImageEndingWith.jpg"></p>


you can add as many images as you like in this way and it wont cost you a penny

To find the url of an image right click on the image in your browser and select "properties"

You can use other image types such as .gif but .jpg is the most common

Warning: I have heard that photobucket delete images without notice but I am sure that its only due to copyright or profanity issues. Since they state that they accept images being used for ebay I would gather that its safe to put photos or scans of your items for the duration of your auction

10p per pic is well worth it, I save hundreds per year! I can personally vouch for photobucket, I only had one pic deleted and it was a 'body sotcking' - lol so no wonder why that was deleted.

I'd like to add that these are BETTER than Ebays picture service. If you add the picture to you lising (rather than through images) you can can have as manyt as you want in your listing AND they are larger. Not so good for viewers on dial up, but for most people this is a major benefit, people can see a lot more from the pics and you can give a lot more detail!

There are ways around that one too

A couple of years back I got a program called Jpeg Optimizer free off a cover disc. It shrinks the file down to around a third of its size and sometimes even smaller without losing image quality. The obvious advantage being that it loads far quicker pleasing everyone with a slow speed connection. I've been using it ever since and its been great.

Often it says free download but that can just mean what it says. You can download it for free but some may come with limitations
