Egyptian Cotton Bedding

HI everyone, really want to buy some egyptian cotton bedding. I am not sleeping well at the moment too hot and my cheap bedding is scratchy.

Some people have reccomended http://www.wallacesacks.com/bedding/egyptian-cotton-bedding.html?limit=all&order=price&dir=asc but there is not much difference in price between 200 thread count & 500 thread count so I am thinking if 500 is the same price then why would people buy 200 when it costs pretty much the same.

Doesnt seem right.

Can anyone give any advice on whats best and whats the lowest thread count I should be going for, obviously the higher the better.

Thanks.

If you are looking to try egyptian cotton before you go the whole hog and pay a fortune for a full bed set I would highly recommend getting say a fitted sheet for a test drive. I bought mine from Costco and for a kingsize sheet it was about £16. However it is so soft and cool in the summer. Once you have tried it you might want to start shopping around. Keep an eye out for Northern nights on QVC they are a regular TSV and can get 2 full bed sets for a lot cheaper than buying thing individually.
Personally oce you have gone over to good quality bedding you never go back. Good luck in you search.

There are too many to quote but start at just sheets and go up to full bed sets.

take a look they have a huge selection you know what size and colour you want so you can focus your search.

failing that try all the main homeware stores like john lewis debenhams and m&s.

    happy hunting

I also wanted to see what the hype was about Egyptian cotton bedding so bought a fitted sheet from asda!!! it's lovely quality and washed soft it was reasonably priced to at about £12 (I think). It's the same quality as the one I then bought from Dunelm for £20!!

I think the 400 thread count will b like sleeping on silk hope you enjoy a better nights sleep.

May check that site out myself as they look very reasonable.

it will be nice to know if you have any delivery problems.

Received them perfectly fine, they send you an email the night before with the tracking number on, the next morning you can check what time your approximate delivery slot will be and it was within the hour.

No problems at all nice bedding and very reasonable on price, I washed all the bedding to freshen it up but now I have to get used to ironing bedding when it comes out the washing machine and has been on the line as it creases so much!!! I HATE IRONING lol!

Bedding is verey good quality but still not as soft as it will be after its been washed a few times.

The care label mentions 40C as the top washing temperature but I like to wash all my bedding at 60C, my bedding is white so do you think it will be ok to wash at 60C or not?

most of my bedding id egyptian cotton that i havebought from wallace sacks , and as my son was violently sick over it, it has been bil washed and was fine, i usually take it off the line before it is fully dry then iron it ... much easier :-)
