jazzconfused wrote: »yes it happened at work. Her gp and occi health has signed her to return to work with light duties 2 months ago but nothing is moving. worst, meeting with her manager and HR happens only once a month and is always unproductive.
Those meetings are probably "unproductive" for a reason - quite deliberately so...whilst they carry on hoping she will just leave.
Be aware of that point - and that all the effort to help your friend needs to come from her (and the assistance of friends such as yourself obviously..).
Her employer is HIGHLY unlikely to suggest anything to her - whether its a job she could be redeployed to or suggestions as to how to get some sort of income from benefits. Its as well you know that is how they are probably viewing this.
The best thing you can do is make sure that she has all the benefits she can possibly claim for - so she at least has some income to live on.0 -

Crikey OP! Are you sure you're the right person to help your friend with her complicated case??!I was born too late, into a world that doesn't care
Oh I wish I was a punk rocker with flowers in my hair0 -
the employer has no obligation whatsoever to advise on benefits by the way - so she should not feel hard done by that this has happened.
What would be helpful would be to define specific "light duties" she can do - eg if the drs note says "no lifting over 16 pounds weight" or "heavy weights" then write down all the stuff she could do that excludes lifting. Or work out how she could do a shift of her normal role but what bits she would need help with.Debt free 4th April 2007.
New house. Bigger mortgage. MFWB after I have my buffer cash in place.0
