I think its £35 for a unpaid DD

A cheque should take 5 working days although sometimes they can take 10 if going through a post office.
 Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
    This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast

If it's not happened before, you may find that they just refund any fees outright. They can see the cheque going through their system, so they know that you potentially have the funds to pay.

You may just get someone nice on the phone ;) (otherwise it's a letter from the CAG demanding the money back :o:o:o)

  • i know this sounds stupid, but when ever i have called them before i get put through to a foreign call centre and end up arguing with them! i have the direct dial of my branch manager, am i better to call him or is that a bit daft?!
  • im making OH do it! I havent ever called them before about this kind of thing and it is OH fault for not getting his act together and getting the money into our joint account in time so he has got to do some of the work (and sucking up to bank manager!) for once!!

    Absolutely call him!

No offence to any call centre workers, but they are limited in what they can and can't authorise.

    Good luck!

    USE THE DIRECT NUMBER.
If you get put through to a call centre, INSIST on either being put through to your branch, or that your branch rings you.
These people at the call centres have no personal knowledge of your circumstances, other than what comes up on a computer screen, and are, therefore, totally unqualified to give you advice.
You may have gathered that I dislike foreign call centres:mad:
