interest only mortgage HELP

I have an interest only mortgage which I changed to when I became terminally ill. My payments went from approx £350 down to £30 monthly. Unfortunately I forgot I was on a preferential rate with my mortgage provider Northern Rock and my monthly payment has shot up to over £100. They are not interested in any renegotiations on a new rate and told me to look elsewhere. I have had one quote from Alliance and Leicester for approx £70 a month. Could anybody advise me on where to go next. Cheers LACEWING.
