Is this right?

Still being hassled by MBNA!
DMP being sorted by CCCS, plan has gone to creditors, one has already accepted (Well done Halifax!)
However, MBNA called all the way from India this morning about arrears - I politely explained that we were liaising with CCCS and that they should do the same.
She stated "no debt management company will manage arrears, therefore I need to take a debit card payment for the full amount now"
I politely explained again that I have passed all the information to CCCS and that I had received correspondance from MBNA acknowledging my DMP notification, and I hung up.
Is this true - do I have to pay the arrears? I'm not sure I do as the plan covers what it says I owe on my last statement.
BTW, this all started with a Virgin credit card - I wish I was still a virgin:o

Im sure you dont have to pay the arrears now, surely isnt that the point of having a DMP....

Ignore them. they are simply trying to get more money out of you.

Paying them £1 over and above the offer (and hopefully subsequent agreement) will simply move them to hassling more - they know you are an easy touch! You are making an agreement for the whole debt - not a portion of it.

Just continue stating what you are doing and write to MBNA (recorded) telling them to stop ALL phone calls immediately or you will report them for harrassment to the OFT. And do it! I haven't as I changed my phone number instead, but these people are scoundrels who are pains up the bum and scum.

Of all your creditors, MBNA will be the worst one.

    Thanks!
I've already done that and had a letter back thanking me! Obviously they don't communicate with the indian branch!
I'm getting better at sticking to my guns!
