Wooden Rose Table Decorations

Hi all,

I have some wooden roses and I would like to make some table decorations. Only thing is I'm really not sure what to do with them. I've googled and I can't find anything!

So, can I twist them together somehow and make them stand up?

Any advice/links/pics you can give would be excellent!

Baldrick, does it have to be this way? Our valued friendship ending with me cutting you up into strips and telling the prince that you walked over a very sharp cattle grid in an extremely heavy hat?

somewhere on here i've seen a picture of someones flowers just standing up inside a glass vase - the head of the flower is inside the vase rather than poking out of the top and it looks gorgeous. alternatively, any kind of cheap vases or some sort of short receptacle that you could put that green florist stuff in so that they stand up, and then they could be twisted up together and free-standing, maybe with some battery powered lights twirled around them for extra prettiness if you've got a few quid spare.

alternatively, something like a mirrored plate with table gems scattered and a single rose lying across the middle - simple and effective. i do think that roses look gorgeous just standing alone.

i'm sure others will have loads more ideas!

The ones I've got are from here. They haven't arrived yet though :)

I was thinking of something like this but I wondered if all wooden roses have those nice thick stems? I'm worried mine won't now!!!

Hi, I have got those roses too - have also bought vases at 50p each from Ikea (Snartig or something like that). Will give them away at the end of the night! Also going to tie curling ribbon round the neck of the vases too.

Your idea is really good - what did you put in it to make it round and stay upright?
