Good Quality Shampoo and Conditioner

Hello,

As some of you know I am on the quest for lovely long hair (see other post!)

I need to invest in some good quality products with no "cones" in.

After doing the moisture/protein test my hair needs moisture.

Brands I have been looking at are:

Bed Head
Gold Wells Kerasilk
Joico
Redken

Products I need are:

Shampoo, Conditioner, Leave In, Heat Defence Spray and perhaps some serum. This is gonna cost me £, So I want to make an informed decision!

Anyone got any thoughts on the above?

Kerasilk: The Dual Senses repair selection is really good- got mine with a magazine suppliment a few years ago and really recommend it. Just not 100% on the scent.

Bedhead: nice scent but not all that apaort from the Superstar collection which was better but still not as amazing as some of the other brands I have since tried.

My sister swears by Redken if its any help but not tried it myself.

I use 'moisture maniac' by TIGI bedhead and my hair is behaving well. Previously, when I had really damaged hair, I used TIGI's oatmeal and honey products. Both products work very well on my hair but I haven't used any of the others that you have listed.

I've tried quite a few Tigi products and I'm not particularly blown away by them (large selection coming to an eBay store near you.....). Great investment products for me are those in the Philip Kingsley range; especially the Elastisizer if you have very dry hair and the products they have that are aimed at dry hair are literally like rubbing moisturier into your hair. However, having been using them for years I've just started using the Tresemme range for very dry hair (I had a perm go wrong recently and consequently have VERY dry hair) and I could not recommend them highly enough. Especially their leave-in conditioner and serum; both are great for touching up between washes to tame frizz and they're incredibly cheap! I'm definitely sticking with them. I'd really suggest giving them a go before splashing out. Finally, you can't beat Olive Oil for a good deep conditioner (it's my new saviour product as I also use it to remove dry skin on my feet; it's amazing!!) but if you're prone to greasy roots then I'd suggest putting your hair in a pony tail and covering the tail but nothing before the hairband in oil rather than your whole head. There be my 2-pence worth :)
Never argue with an idiot; they'll bring you down to their level and then beat you with experience.
