Icelands buffet and some very kind family members to help cook it!!
we did it for my 21st and saved a fortune :T 0 -
a friend of mine had a hog roast for a celebration - she paid £5 a head, so perhaps you could go elsewhere for quotes as £650 is ridiculous!
hers was through a butcher in a local village.
good luck!0 -
Hi No tips for food I'm afraid , but I wouldn't tell anyone you're asking quotes from that its for a wedding . They instantly stick an extra zero onto the quote

You venue sounds lovely BTW

Re your mobile bar - some mobile bar companies won't charge a hire fee, they just make money on the drinks they sell..its worth asking.
Food wise - a cold buffet would be cheaper and you can do some of this yourself.0 -

Why don't you have the band play? Music through an iPod is hardly proper entertainment.0 -

A lot of couples are opting for Ipods for their wedding now. It keeps the cost down and means they can set their own playlists.Tank fly boss walk jam nitty gritty...0 -

My hog is £500 I think - or maybe £450, its by a local farmer who also does the markets in my village.0
