Disciplinary hearing

Been to a disciplinary today, took written statement in answer to so-called allegations. Chair wanted to ask questions but i told them they had my response and walked out.
Chair said as I was leaving " let me advise you of my (her ) rights".

Could someone explain them

The chair said "Let me advide you of my rights" - meaning the rights of the chair of the disciplinary.
You were foolish to walk out. You should have stayed, even if you simply repeated the answers on the paper. It is clear even from this post that things ppl write down can be easily misunderstood. You could have cleared up any misunderstandings they may have had.

What were you being disciplined for? I don't want the story, just the disciplinary reason.

Why should the OP answer your question when you haven't answered his/hers?

The point of the post/thread is what are/were the rights of the chair, not what the hearing was about.

In answer to the OP's question, some rights/obligations will be set down in law, but they may have other rights/obligations which are set down in the company's disciplinary procedures. So you need to get hold of those procedures, they should include all the rights/obligations, not just the ones the company gives the chair.
  • In the context, if it was said as you were walking out, I'd probably assume her rights were to make a decision even in your absence.
