Pelvic floor muscle toners

I am thinking about getting a pelvic muscle toner, such as the athena fem pelvic floor toner, and wonder if any one else has tried one?

Its about £200, so not cheap, but seems to offer quicker, better results than the options from my gp.

any thoughts anyone?

thanks for the advice;)

to be honest, they seem like a complete waste of time and money

just do them yourself like you're stopping yourself from having a wee. You can do it at any time, and no-one knows you are doing it! And its free :-)

Look up kegel 8 basic model available on amazon also reviews on stress no more site. Cost about £80 if I remember , recommended by my physio. Takes up to 3 months for results but not suitable for all problems.

I don't think you're supposed to do them when your peeing as it can cause infections or something?

    hi
my gp talked about them, but did not recommend any model. they range from about £70 to £200. my other options are the cones (which I can get on nhs) or maybe an op if things carry on.
    thanks for the replies.

Can do it you rely on a full bladder to do this, but you can do this after having gone to the loo- you just locate the muscles and make sure your not clenching your belly or your bottom whilst using the muscle and then holding for a few seconds before letting go.

Or just take a Pilataes class!
