Amazed At My Credit Report....................
UnderPressure
Why am I amazed you may ask?
Well I just am lol
No seriously I have avoided looking at my credit reports for years now but today for some strange reason could not resist, so signed up to Experian who said they need to do some further checks and will email me!
Then signed up for Experian, had to give them a call and confirm things on my credit report which was handy considering I had no idea what was on it lol but in the end they activated my account, went back online with dread and looked at my report...........
Lots of defaults well 9 acounts in default at least
went to the court info section expecting to see at lease 6 ccj's to my surprise there were only 2! and one of them has been marked as settled even though it has not been settled!
Expecting to see conflicting results with experian when I finally get to view it lol but am strangely happy with the experian one.
ANy ideas anyone? Why would something so important as ccj's not be there and the ones that are marked wrong? Funnily enough the ongoing bailiff battle I am having is for the other ccj that is listed what joy......................

How many CCJs do you actually have?
They all stem from a failed business about 3 yrs ago now coming upto anyhow.........
In total there must be oooo 6 or 7 (I should know I know only just facing up to all these problems hence looking at credit reports)
maybe a few more Im really not sure definately at least 6......"You can measure a man's character by the choices he makes under pressure"Sir Winston Churchill0 -
Are they all against you personally?Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB

at least 2 are against me personally then the rest are against me trading as a business name or should be anyhow......
also all at my current address"You can measure a man's character by the choices he makes under pressure"Sir Winston Churchill0 -
Possibly why only 2 show up against you personally then? Not sure. Would have to check that one.
Credit reference agencies are not "intelligent".
They just trawl data and link it together to form a report.
In this case data from the official court Register of Judgements & Fines.
Today credit ratings are done by name, so unless a "judgement" names you explicitly then perhaps it might not show?
Obviously, you still have it, but the CRA has just failed to make the connection. As said, they go by name not address, so their automated systems may have failed to make the link?Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB

Interesting that makes sense, I know I defiantely have them not sure why 1 is marked as settled because it is not but well ...................
Will have a look at Experian when I finally get access and see what that holds, if they are not listed then I suppose it would be foolish of me to inform them Im not uder any legal obligation to let the know if their files are wrong in my favour am I ?
Still wouldn't get accepted for a tesco club card (if you needed a check for one lol
) but it seems to be a much better starting poin than where I was so far as cleaning up my credit record, the ccj's are all sleepers at the moment after many a tussle with bailiff's they all seem to be passed back to original creditors now with none of them having any interest in making me bankrupt (shame in 1 way) so the last thing I want to do is wake any of them, just got this one which is Marstons now they are supposed to be coming tomorrow I have seen the same guy must be 6 times now over the last 2 years, I went to see a solicitor with my partner yesterday and got her to make a statutory declaration saying everything in the property is owned by her, it is the truth anyhow she had everything before I moved in so its not a lie, I sent it recorded to Marstons yesterday so hopefully that will be enough for them to not even bother coming, if so it will be the usual bat and ball session with him at my padlocked gate..........
Even though they can't realistically do anything if you know your rights its still stressful dealing with them they spout so much sh*t it is unreal how they get awa with it I never know, if he does show tomorrow I am taking my my old tape camcorder to the gate with me it doesnt work it hasnt for years but he doesnt know that, hopeully this will make him act sensibly..................
Anyhow thanks for your input I will see what is on the Experian one as and when I get access
