Anyone had a Body -wave ?

Considering getting this new take on the perm
I have naturally wavy hair but it isn't naturally wavy enough and just usually looks like it needs a good brush ,so I resort to straightening it ,but I don't suit straight hair and want it wavy :/

I'm not worried about the damage as my hair always used to take fab to perming and my hairdresser used to say I was a bit of an anomaly as it improved the condition of my hair ,I just don't was to go all spirally curly

Do you actually need a perm? Could you encourage more waves naturally, by brushing it only when wet, and then putting some Curl Creme, scrunching, and just leaving it to dry naturally.

    Also layers help encourage curls/waves.
