I've read about people paying small amounts off credit cards

How do you do that??Do you just go into a bank and ask to pay £3 extra off you card?Am I missing something here?

  • I do all of mine over internet banking so I guess I could transfer small amounts over.

  • I have internet banking too-how would you set that up to pay a credit card though? And how would you do it other than a standing order or a direct debit?

  • You just need the account details of the credit card company (these are on the paying-in slip at the bottom of the statement or on the back in the 'how to pay' blurb) and your reference number (which is usually your credit card number) and set up a bank transfer payment to transfer money to pay off your card.

  • too much debt most cerdit card companys have there own website where you can set up an account and pay through your debit card on tehre site you can pay as much/as little as you want as many times a day as you want  i used to do it with my barclay one all the time :rotfl:

edit: sorry or just do as the above has just said, i type way to slow :rotfl: i used to do it that way with my capital one card

*btw non of which i have now :j *
  • I'll have to do that I think-I was going to save any extra overflow at the end of the month in a seperate account but I think it'll make more sense to just chuck it at the debt really.

You can pay any amount off your Barclaycard at any Barclays Bank just by handing your card over with the cash.

You get to have a nice long statement, with all credits rather than debits.

Really cheers you up when you open your statement :D

  • isnt it better to deposit the bits and bats into an account thats separate from your day to day accounts and then pay the credit card when you reach £50, eg? surely putting in 3 here and there will just be taken up in interest?
