Anyone used buy our honeymoon.com?

We've had a lot of bugging from family and friends about what we want as a wedding gift. And we always thought we would just ask for money towards our honeymoon.

But we've spotted a few 'items' we'd like for the house (realised we need new pillows, duvet and other randoms) so decided we'd like to do a mini gift list as well, but not with one particular store.

Buy our honeymoon seems to be the perfect choice, but I just wanted some reviews from you guys!

Anyone used it and got any feedback?

Great question, I also want to know! I have heard some good things, but I think I want more specific answers!

I used it and thought it was great, as did our guests. I didn't like the name "Buy our Honeymoon", though (just found it a bit blatant) so used one of their other domain names, "The Gift of Memories". We asked mainly for activities, excursions and special meals for our honeymoon as we'd already paid for the flights and accommodation. I think that worked well, because people felt that they were buying something memorable and a bit different (we went to India for our honeymoon and some of the activities and tours were quite quirky). I liked the fact that payments come straight through to you via Paypal, as I had heard about a similar company collapsing and couples' monies being lost. But you do need to bear in mind that their is a fee for using Paypal, which is levied each time someone makes a payment. And there's a charge to set up the list as well.

We're thinking of doing this too. Are the fees charged by Paypal a set amount or are they a percentage of the payment?

    From what I remember, I think they're a percentage

If we are to go with this I would request that people gave the money directly to us, instead of using paypal. Just to be safe, and not to lose out on any commission :P

I've been playing with their free trial and managed to come up with this: http://www.buy-our-honeymoon.com/wotton.riggs.4641 what do you think? Only a few things on their as examples!

There was a thread not so long ago about a fee paying company but a code to waive th fee that had good reviews that I wanted to start a thread aksing about, I think you created things like 'our first drink' 'our safari' etc. I quite like that you can reserve gifts on the above site, jst don't think I could put that site on the invites!
