if your on income support etc and get your prescription free go and see the nurse at the doctors to help you give up and they prescribe patchs/gum or if your not on benefits the prescriptions still only £6.99
i got the gum today and it would have cost £14.99
hope this helps someone;)

My doctors wont perscribe me them. They have put a stop to it. So now you have to go to classes called smoking sensations and then the nurse there will !Stay clear of EcashRewards !!!0

sounds easy but its not, like the poster has mentioned, you have to attend a weekly group for 6 weeks. In my area there is a waiting list to get onto the group. I waited 5 and a half months to get a place on the group and when I finally got my place it was the worst time ever to try and stop smoking.MSE:-)MoneySpendingExpert (-:0

I gave up last October with the help of a nurse at my local doctors surgery.
It was a 1on1 affair, with a lung capacity check and a general check up.
I had to go back every two weeks for a check up and a new prescription of NRT.
After about 3 months, I didnt need to go back anymore.Tescos latest enemy.........0 -

It's not like that where I live - you just can just go in to our local chemist, clockwork pharmacy and they give you some advice and a prescription for the nicotine replacement products. seehttp://www.clockworkpharmacy.com (look under pharmacy services, other services)0 -
I am currently seeing the nurse at my local GP's for stopping smoking. She prescribes me nicotine patches which I get on prescription. I get 28 patches for £6.65 when they should be £18.99 each!!
That's quite bad that people in some areas can't get this. I've never received a penny in benefits off the state and have worked all my life so it's about time we get something back.
Good luck for all you quitters!!!0
